Snelling Employment LLC Personal Lines Customer Service Representative in Grand Rapids, Michigan

The Personal Lines Customer Service Representative handles various routine and specialized customer service duties and correspondence, and coordinates with the direct consumer, agent and dealer.   $40,000 - $45,000 based on experience   Responsibilities of the Personal Lines Customer Service Representative:

  • Address walk in clients needs Monday -- Friday
  • Call customers on notices "Underwriting" "Need more information"
  • Process renewal report every Monday
  • Process lapse prevention report every week
  • Processing insurance company claim reports (Safeco, Progressive, American Modern, Aegis, National General, Pure)
  • Processing endorsements received via mail, email and fax
  • Processing all cancellations received via fax, email, mail
  • Filing new active files in File Room (for all agents)
  • Moving files from Active to Canceled (or reverse) in File Room (for all agents)
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by Office Manager and President

Additional Responsibilities Over the Phone of the Personal Lines Customer Service Representative:

  • Handle all lender requests to confirm coverage or make a change to an existing policy (calls, email, fax or mail requests)
  • Assisting customers who need to make a payment or confirm receipt of a payment
  • Handle all change of address requests within their current state
  • Processing ID card requests and other miscellaneous document requests (faxed, emailed or mailed)
  • Handle all referring agent/subagent requests for declarations pages or other documentation
  • Process rewrite requests for clients moving out of state etc.
  • Process change requests for clients adding units, deleting units etc.
