Lockheed Martin Material Science Research Engineer Associate in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description: Mechanical Engineer to perform hands on production support, research, and product development. Responsible for research, specifications, planning, design, development and testing of aerospace products. Assignments will permit the development of materials and process skills, material property testing, fabrication, and hardware integration. Performs research and/or product development encompassing multiple engineering disciplines, such as electronics, electrical, mechanical, and/or chemical. This is an opportunity for a Research Engineer for Instrumentation & Electronics.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Components Engineering with a focus in Electrical Engineering in related fields.

• Knowledgeable in the use of instrumentation devices such as data recorders, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.

• Thorough knowledge of electricity, electronic components and wiring diagrams.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with sensor selection, application and installation in structural and thermal testing applications.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Understanding of AC and DC electronic circuits

• Strong communication and computer skills.

• Experience with NI Labview or equivalent

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
