Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and health of yourself and your team while working in the surrounding area. You will participate in all safety activities and support ISO 9001 activities, maintaining required processes. Your responsibilities will include maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and general fabrication and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, as well as the maintenance of the facility, grounds, and utility systems. You will work closely with management to maintain waste water and other facility systems, ensuring compliance with environmental and government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and health of self and team in the working area.

  • Participate in all safety activities.

  • Support and maintain ISO 9001 activities and processes.

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and fabricate machines, tools, and equipment.

  • Perform maintenance of facility, grounds, and utility systems.

  • Work with management to maintain waste water systems and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Implement preventative maintenance programs for parts inventory, machinery, tools, and equipment.

  • Maintain and repair machinery, mechanical equipment, motors according to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications.

  • Perform other duties as requested.

Essential Skills

  • Troubleshooting skills

  • Maintenance technician experience

  • Mechanical and repair skills

  • Knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics

  • Electrical skills

  • Preventive maintenance proficiency

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics

  • Experience with hand tools

  • Industrial maintenance skills

  • PLC troubleshooting

  • Maintenance repair experience

  • Understanding of 3-phase systems

  • Motor and equipment maintenance

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Electrical troubleshooting capabilities

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of three to five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Skilled in mechanical, troubleshooting, and electrical aspects of manufacturing.

  • Effective communication and ability to interpret and apply safety rules.

  • Capability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Basic algebra and geometry skills for accurate calculations.

  • Proficient in computer software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience operating various office machines.

Work Environment

The work environment is non-climate controlled, requiring adaptability and comfort in various conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Prairie, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
