Elevance Health Chief of Staff, Carelon Payment Integrity in Grand Prairie, Texas

The Chief of Staff for Carelon's Payment Integrity (PI) business will serve as a thought partner to the VP, streamlining and elevating communication across internal and external channels. This role centers on compelling storytelling, crucial for winning client buy-in, and tightly integrates with account management teams to shape and convey the business narrative. The Director will be instrumental in driving strategic objectives through effective management of performance scorecards and OKRs, while also crafting high-impact presentations and materials. By fostering relationships across the PI executive leadership team, this leader will enable collaborative delivery of the business’ top priorities and communicate this value to key stakeholders.

This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, working from any US corporate location, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of remote work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. The internal company job title is Business Strategy Plan Director.

How you will make an impact:

  • Develop a profound understanding of the payment integrity business to adeptly present its current achievements and future directions.

  • Collaborate closely with the VP to drive business communications, developing influential PowerPoint decks and performance scorecards to document the strategic narrative.

  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable tactics and lead initiatives that align with enterprise-wide priorities, ensuring the business meets its OKRs and scorecard targets.

  • Proactively manage business issues, escalations, and executive updates, demonstrating agility in delivering critical information at short notice to company leaders.

  • Craft and storyboard executive presentations, developing compelling content tailored for diverse executive forums and the broader organization.

  • Build and leverage robust relationships with various VP functional leaders, facilitating collaborative solutions to complex business challenges, and ensuring cohesive strategy execution.

  • Continually perform needs assessments and propose innovative opportunities to enhance business results and drive strategic development and innovation.

Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience and 3 to 5 year strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Highly preferred:

-Executive and/or management consulting experience with strategic planning and execution.

-Exceptional aptitude for storytelling and relationship-building to align and communicate the business's vision effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

-Proven experience developing and delivering C-level decks and materials.

-Healthcare experience with Payment Integrity business, solutions, and clients.
