JOB SUMMARY Our company is seeking a skilled & detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to assist with the design, development, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and components according to requirements. This role will also collaborate with multiple teams to troubleshoot and problem-solve transportation systems, research and development, and commissioning of PLCs, HMIs, and AC drives and motors. This is a full-time, exempt position hiring at $60,320-67,329 per year based on relevant experience & certifications.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assigns tasks to & coordinates with entry-level engineers, technicians and/or administrative staff. Design complex electrical systems, including hardware, firmware and software components. Develop and maintain engineering documentation, such as schematics, wiring diagrams, and inventories. Develop user instructions, operations manuals, and other documentation for equipment supplied. Perform commissioning and debugging for intermediate to complex machine applications. Provide technical expertise, support and enhancement of automation related systems, and implement required updates to avoid technical obsolescence Manage projects from conception to production release and inform stakeholders of project status. Perform risk assessments and job safety analysis, and complete work in a safe manner. Research and specify components to UL508A or UL891 as applicable to the design. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end system integration. Performs other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in electrical, mechanical, or computer science engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school. Member of professional practice organization, member of local program or committee. Valid driver's license and able to travel domestically & internationally 25-30% of the time. Ability to work in inclement weather in a mountainous environment at high altitudes. Authorized to work in the United States of America & proficient in the English language.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 5 years' experience with Microsoft Office. 3 years' design background, including Electrical CAD systems and database management 2 years' experience in integrated automation/information systems in a manufacturing environment 2 years' experience with Rockwell Software 2 years' experience with DC and/or AC drives and motors Exposure to National Electrical Code (NEC) and Arc-Flash (NFPA-70)
