Job Title : Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN General) Location : Grafton, OH 44044 Duration : 6 Months to long term Shift: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM Onsite: Yes Role & Responsibilities: Perform skilled practical nursing procedures and treatments (e.g., obtaining vital statistics, applying oxygen, sterile dressing, inserting catheters, administering medications, wound treatments, enemas, administering enteral feedings, etc.). Observe, document, and report patient conditions, taking appropriate actions as necessary. Provide thorough and knowledgeable reports of patient needs to the RN/Physician. Monitor patients during and after procedures and assist RN and Physician as needed. Respond to emergencies, provide first aid, perform CPR, and use AED in emergency situations. Maintain medical accountability records and prepare related reports/forms (e.g., patient charts, medication administration records, unusual incident forms, and more). Verify and implement Physician's orders, complete controlled drug administration/tracking records, and maintain infection control documentation. Maintain supplies and keep the work area appropriately stocked and organized (ordering, inventorying, delivering, and obtaining supplies). Communicate with pharmacy to maintain medication stock. Assist with clerical tasks such as answering phones, filing, copying, and faxing. Provide general nursing care and assist in the orientation and training of lower-level direct staff in unskilled nursing care (e.g., feeding, dressing, bathing, transferring, and repositioning patients). Attend medical appointments as needed and participate in meetings as required. Respond to patient alarms and assist in maintaining appropriate patient supervision levels. Confer with the Nursing Supervisor or Director of Nursing about nursing needs and personnel-related matters. Education Required: Associate's Degree Associate's Degree in Nursing Experience: At least 6 months of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
