We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bookkeeper responsible for managing full cycle bookkeeping duties and maintaining the general ledger. The ideal candidate will independently code and enter vendor invoices, process accounts payable and receivable, handle payroll, and assist with financial closings, tax preparation, budgeting, and forecasting.
Responsibilities
Manage full cycle bookkeeping duties and maintain the general ledger.
Independently code and enter vendor invoices.
Process vendor invoices (both expense and purchase order/3-way match), identify and investigate discrepancies, process vendor payments, and reconcile to vendor statements.
Post cash receipts, research variances, process customer invoices, and manage collections.
Prepare bank deposits, reconcile bank statements, and process bank payments.
Process employee time sheets and prepare bi-weekly payroll using Paychex.
Create and maintain balance sheet reconciliation workpaper repository, prepare and post journal entries for adjustments and accruals, and issue monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows).
Prepare annual statements for CPA (trial balance, general ledger detail, apportionment schedules, etc.).
Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Generate ad-hoc reports as required.
Essential Skills
Proven experience with full cycle bookkeeping duties and general ledger maintenance.
Ability to independently code and enter vendor invoices.
Proficiency in processing accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
Experience in posting cash receipts, processing customer invoices, and managing collections.
Capability to prepare bank deposits, reconcile bank statements, and process bank payments.
Skilled in payroll processing using Paychex.
Expertise in creating and maintaining balance sheet reconciliation workpapers, preparing and posting journal entries, and issuing monthly financial statements.
Experience in preparing annual statements for CPA and assisting with tax preparation.
Strong skills in budgeting and forecasting.
Ability to generate ad-hoc reports as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing industry or with 3-way matching, general ledger, debits, credits, invoices, and monthly close processes.
Ownership of processes in a small to mid-sized company ($4-8M in revenue).
Work Environment
This is an in-person role, working Monday through Friday in a collaborative office environment with approximately 16 colleagues. The role involves working closely with different departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
