ASRC Federal Holding Company Technical Trainer in Remote,

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work cooperatively and collaboratively with instructional system designers, training administrators and coordinators, subject matter experts, audio/visual production specialists, training developers, and other higher-level training personnel to conduct and support the administration of technical training programs and activities. The ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences is very important. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Developing, facilitating, organizing, and conducting training programs or activities.

  • Create and edit course materials and related instructional aids using Microsoft Power Point and Word.

  • Develop instructional material and curriculum for online and in-person training.

  • Support other trainers in the development of and implementation of technical training across virtual platforms and learning management systems.

  • Facilitating meetings with subject matter experts from various levels of the business to design course programs, materials, and to schedule and deliver technical training.

  • Schedule and facilitate in-person and/or virtual training programs and activities.

  • Research and develop training modules or segments of larger training programs.

  • Evaluate technical training program needs and effectiveness.

  • Facilitate workgroups and meetings focused on instructional design and delivery.

  • Manage and enter training programs and courses within the agency’s online learning management system.

  • Provide training and technical support to learners encountering issues with courses, course completion, enrollment.

  • Provide training and technical support for client’s on-demand training resources site.

  • Assist and coordinate training logistics as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Limited domestic travel - travel one to two times every four months.

  • Track and action tickets in Financial and Business Management System (FBMS).

  • Assign Training Coordinators FBMS trainings.

  • Track and update training records for FBSM training programs.

  • Send training reminders via email 7 days before FBMS training is due and 1 day before training is due.

  • Fill out daily reports of duties and tasks.

Requirements :

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Technical Trainer in an enterprise environment OR an Associate’s Degree and at least 4 years of experience working as a Technical Trainer

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft O365: Microsoft Teams, Outlook Email and Calendar, and SharePoint.

  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Power Point and Word to create course materials and related instructional aids.

  • Experience using Microsoft Teams and Zoom video conferencing.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

  • Strong technical writing skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey advanced analytical and technical topics.

  • Experience working with a wide range of personnel, including business sponsors, product owners, project managers, development teams, and end users at all levels of the organization.

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and adapting to changes in a matrixed environment.

Desired Skills

  • Prior government work experience a plus.

  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI or Microsoft Power Apps.

  • Experience with Totara learning management software or similar software.

  • Experience with Drupal

The successful candidate is subject to a U.S. Federal Government background investigation and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust.

This position is offering a pay range of $59,500 - $64,800 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.
