Facebook’s Partner Engineering organization is a technology team dedicated to developing and managing the company's largest and most strategic technical partnerships. We create solutions to enable our partners to thrive on our platforms, generating value for partners, Facebook and the people in our community. We strive to build enduring long-term relationships with strategically important organizations, and we lead the technical integration of Facebook’s technologies into our partners’ applications. Facebook is looking for an entrepreneurial leader for our Partner Engineering team.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage an inclusive team of individual contributors that delivers on multiple projects or programs across regions or business groups

  2. Communicate strategic information and context from the company and organization to the team and other stakeholders

  3. Set clear expectations, and assign projects aligned with team strengths, skills and motivations, and adjust management style to match the needs of the individual

  4. Lead with care, recognize individual contributions, give and seek timely feedback, ensuring the team is healthy and sustaining productive relationships

  5. Build and scale the team by identifying skills needed, interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding new employees

  6. Empower people to execute against their priorities and hold them accountable for success

  7. Partner with appropriate stakeholders to make ongoing program and project decisions, leverage insights from the team, and make recommendations and/or decisions when issues arise

  8. Serve as a technology/business subject matter expert within the team and provide consultation on domain-level projects

  9. Lead problem definition and requirements gathering that can frame high-level goals of ambiguous projects and drive reasonable solutions

  10. Deliver presentations to various audiences (partner meetings, events, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 11+ years experience as a software engineer, partner/sales engineer

  2. 3+ years leading a team of software engineering or partner/sales engineering

  3. B.A/B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience

  4. Experience growing teams and designing organizations to maximize impact

  5. Experience building software in languages like Python, Objective-C, PHP, C/C++, Ruby, C# or other programming languages

  6. Experience working with Web technology stack

  7. Experience communicating and partnering with cross-functional teams

  8. Experience designing and integrating with REST APIs

  9. Experience developing and effectively managing relationships with external and internal partners

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience managing a team with multiple roles

  2. Knowledge of the social media landscape globally

  3. Experience working with global teams

  4. Experience with agile software development methodologies
