Adecco US, Inc. Laboratory Technician in Glenwood, Illinois
Laboratory Technician to operate an optical microscope to examine samples and record findings as well as operate and record results for machinery that performs analysis. This role is also responsible for performing reanalysis of radiation dose for dosimeters. A great Laboratory Technician is a self-starter with high attention to detail, who is inquisitive about solving problems. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve.
Qualifications
• Ability to operate optical microscope and identify visible features on sample
• Operate machinery that conducts and produces analysis for radiation detecting dosimeters.
• Review machine generated data to validate analytic results.
• Execute standard work including routine machine operation, calibration, quality control, housekeeping, and record keeping
• Identify, evaluate, and correct anomalies in laboratory activities, and implement preventative measures to eliminate reoccurrence of anomalies
• The LANDAUER dosimetry business is a quarterly business cycle, technicians must be able to work overtime as required.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Required to maintain neat, accurate and complete records and files.
• No dosimetry or laboratory experience required, on-the-job training is provided
• Experience with various office software programs (e.g., word processing and spreadsheets).
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend applicable written and/or oral instructions.
Pay Details: $17.00 per hour
