Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

Safely provide maintenance support to our fast-paced facility that is equipped with technology ranging from simple to state-of-the-art for the corrugated industry. Utilize both excellent mechanical skills and knowledge (pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, lubrication) and electrical/electronic skills and knowledge (PLCs, A/C, D/C motors and drives, schematics) in our continuous process manufacturing environment to achieve machine uptime metrics. Engage in critical thinking; predictive and preventative maintenance, and finding the root cause of failure. Work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance support in a fast-paced facility with varying technology levels.

  • Utilize mechanical skills and knowledge including pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, and lubrication.

  • Apply electrical/electronic skills and knowledge, such as PLCs, A/C, D/C motors and drives, and schematics.

  • Engage in predictive and preventative maintenance to ensure machine uptime.

  • Collaborate effectively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve issues.

  • Maintain safety, quality, and productivity while working alone, with a partner, or as part of a team.

  • Participate in preventative maintenance processes throughout the facility.

  • Cross-train and learn new skills in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.

  • Use computer systems for maintenance processes, stores, and work orders.

  • Preventive maintenance

  • Maintenance technician experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • At least one year of successful mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing facility.

  • On-the-job success in safety, attendance, and quality of work.

  • Maintenance experience in corrugated industry is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of lubrication, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, electrical, and electronics technologies.

  • Excellent teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to fully cross-train in other technical areas.

  • Willing and able to work second and third shifts, call-ins, holidays, and overtime.

  • Ability to work with computer systems for maintenance processes, stores, and work orders.

  • Provide own tools initially (tools worn out on the job will be replaced).

Industrial setting with varying technologies and equipment. Requires willingness to work second and third shifts, call-ins, holidays, and overtime. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gilroy, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $41.00/hr.
