Siemens Energy NDT Level II FPI Inspector 3rd shift in Gibsonton, Florida

A Snapshot of Your Day

Will support manufacturing and processing blades and vanes on the Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection Line with NDT Level 2 responsibilities for inspection in the Gibsonton Florida Location.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Will set up andcalibrate equipment, conduct examinations, and interpret resultsconcerning applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

  • Familiar withthe scope and limitations of the method and techniques for whichqualified, shall exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job trainingand guidance of trainees and NDT Level I personnel.

  • Organizing andreporting the results of NDT tests.

  • Performing aninterpretation of FPI indications for acceptance to workinstructions/techniques to meet customer specifications.

  • Reporting allrequired data and mapping the results as required.

  • Cross-trainingand other duties may be assigned as needed.

What You Bring

  • Achieve andmaintain internal certifications per SNT-TC-1A and customer requirementsincluding examination for general method knowledge, specific procedureunderstanding and practical performance of the method.

  • Must becometrained to the PT certification requirements including 12 hours of formalclassroom training and 400 hours of OJT under a certified NDT Level I, IIor III.

  • Minimum of HighSchool Diploma or GED is required.

  • Investmentcasting experience and knowledge preferred.

  • Generalknowledge of other NDT disciplines a plus.

  • Applicants mustbe legally authorized for employment in the United States without the needfor current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

  • This positionwill require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau ofIndustry and Security, and/or the Department of State, Directorate ofDefense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisitefor this position. The candidate must be able to work withexport-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
