A Snapshot of Your Day

You will assess, fix, and repair manufacturing and facilities equipment issues. Will be researching technical data, procuring parts, performing hands-on repairs, and assisting in the coordination of contractor support as needed.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Demonstrating “Safety First/Safety Always” attitude and work habits in all aspects of job performance and performing job duties to the highest quality standards possible.

  • Performing daily assignments to include coordinating, supporting, and performing all required plant reactive, preventative, proactive, project, and setup support maintenance activities.

  • Using the site’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to properly document maintenance actions and assist in training fellow mechanics/technicians on the proper use of the system, including assisting in the analysis of maintenance issues and trends to make improvement recommendations.

  • Assisting in training, coaching, and mentoring fellow technicians on proper maintenance practices, safe work practices, equipment theory of operation, proper solving techniques and best-practice repair procedures, etc.

  • Communicate effectively with associates at all levels (within and between departments) verbally and in writing and assist in coordinating maintenance resources (workforce and material) to best support the production effort.

  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required (associate degree, Trade School or Online Maintenance Coursework Certificate and/or Military Technical Training preferred).

  • Strong electrical skills and ability to effectively use electrical test equipment such as multi-meters, meggers or other specialized test equipment (as required) and be able to confidently read and interpret electrical prints and schematics (*PLC programming, robotics, and vacuum systems experience is a plus).

  • Must be mechanically inclined and possess the ability to use all standard tools of the trade; including but not limited to basic hand and machine tools, various test equipment (as required), and be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and prints, as well as demonstrate the ability to safely and effectively operate basic shop machinery such as hyd. presses, grinders, lathes, mills, and drill presses.

  • 5 or more years of experience working in and around electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.

  • Visual acuity to inspect equipment and read labels and documentation and physical ability to stand for most of the day (5-8 hours a day) and to regularly work on raised surfaces and climb stairs or ladders.

  • Physical capability to lift and carry 25lbs to a height of 4 feet and a distance of 4 feet and occasionally lift from 26 – 50lbs from the same height and distance + ability to repetitively bend and twist at the waist and neck and reach above and below shoulder level to reach product, components or equipment.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

  • This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
