Siemens Energy EDM Operator 3rd Shift in Gibsonton, Florida
A Snapshot of Your Day
Will be working on the installation and process parameter selection for components. Operators are also accountable for the safe operation of machines as well as required documentation and verification of components. Proper loading of parts on the proper fixture and selecting the right program to start the EDM process is the basic of this operation.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Check and reportany Safety opportunities or near misses assuring Safety guards and dustcollection systems are in place and working properly.
Knowledge of PPEis required to perform this operation and complete the pre-flightchecklist at the beginning of the shift.
Verify that thephysical parts serial numbers match with the serial numbers on the router.
Open workinstruction to ensure proper processes, tools, and methods will be used.
Ensuring thecorrect work instruction is pulled up on the production system screenwhile operating.
InspectingLifting devices and filling up the inspection form at the beginning of theshift.
Use liftingdevices to move heavy parts when needed.
Maintaining theflow and quality of parts produced and continuously performing improvementanalysis.
Using handtools, including wrenches, Allen wrenches, and screw Drivers and If neededthe use of calipers will be required.
Other duties asneeded.
What You Bring
High schoolgraduate or GED, required.
Previousexperience on EDM or CNC will be a plus.
Able to standduring working hours for long periods.
Ability to readEngineering instructions. (English)
Demonstratedmechanical skills.
Applicants mustbe legally authorized for employment in the United States without the needfor current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
This positionwill require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau ofIndustry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate ofDefense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisitefor this position. The candidate must be able to work withexport-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
