Manpower is assisting a well-known public transportation company local to Gettysburg in hiring a full time mechanic. This role offers amazing benefits and room for advancement. The right candidate must be able to work well with others, have flexibility with work schedule, and have a clean driving record for the past three years. The work schedule for new hires will be Monday-Friday 4am-12:30PM
Job Title: Mechanic
Location: Gettysburg PA
Pay Range: $19/hr to $22/hr
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair principles, procedures, methods and techniques.
• This position is responsible for performing general servicing, preventative maintenance, basic diagnosing and troubleshooting, and performing both minor and major repairs to maintain all fleet vehicles in good working order
• requires working along with other mechanics in major repairs and overhauls
• Receives complaints and requests for equipment service and makes evaluations; makes road calls to service disabled vehicles, as directed by management.
• Knowledge of equipment and specialized tools
• Knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle preventive maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and repair heavy duty vehicles; demonstrated problem solving skills and complete assignments.
• Ability to work variable shifts, irregular hours and be available for work/overtime in accordance with bid, CBA, policy, and response to emergency situations.
