Heritage Ministries is in growth mode and currently seeking a RN Unit Manager to join our team! The RN Unit Manager is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of all residents on a specific nursing unit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The RN Unit Manager will manage, supervise, and direct all nursing functions on a particular unit in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local Department of Health Codes and Regulations. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivery of nursing care consistent with facility standards and established policies and procedures.

  • Plans, directs, and organizes the nursing care provided to residents of the nursing unit.

  • Assigns duties and responsibilities to professional nursing staff and support nursing staff assigned to work on the unit in a manner that facilitates optimum delivery of care to residents.

  • Serves as Assigned Supervisor for various nursing department personnel. Conducts employee performance reviews, disciplinary conferences and exit interviews in a timely fashion.

  • Responsible for performance, retention, and development of all assigned employees. Seeks direction from the Human Resource Director and Director of Nursing regarding personnel matters. Takes appropriate action in accordance with personnel policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in good standing in New York State. Maintenance of licensure requirements required.

  • S.N preferred.

  • Long term care experience preferred.

  • Previous Supervisory experience required.
