Description
Robert Half is offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Logistics Clerk in Georgetown, Kentucky. This role is within the logistics and distribution industry and will require you to use your expertise in areas such as dispatching, data entry, and customer service in a call center environment. You will also be handling tasks related to freight carriers and shipping & receiving. This opening is for a 2nd shift schedule of Mon-Fri 4pm-12am with potential overtime! Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process and dispatch orders during the assigned shift.
• Maintain and update logistics and distribution records accurately.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve them promptly.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on the status.
• Ensure the smooth running of shipping and receiving operations.
• Maintain communication with freight carriers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Use data entry skills to update and maintain logistical information in the system.
• Provide excellent customer service in a call center setting.
• Assist in the organization and coordination of the logistics and distribution process.
• Work in compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Requirements • Proven experience in the logistics industry
• Proficiency in data entry tasks
• Experience in dispatching duties within a logistics environment
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures
• Knowledge of logistics and distribution processes
• Experience working with freight carriers
• Strong customer service skills, preferably within a call center environment
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in the use of computer systems for managing logistics operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
