We are looking to fill an Electrician opening in Georgetown, ID. Asa Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems. You’ll work with a team, providing guidance to apprentices, troubleshooting electrical systems, and adhering to safety and local code requirements. Essential Duties:
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
Adhere to job specification and local, state, and national electrical codes
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, recommending and implementing appropriate repairs
Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment using testing devices such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters
Follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and ensure conformance to building and safety codes
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair, and to ensure compliance with local codes
Direct and train workers to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
Oversee apprentices as well as provide guidance and leadership
Perform warehouse duties and material handling as needed
Handle pre-fabrication duties both on-site and off-site as needed
Attend in-house training
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
Availability to work overtime and/or irregular business hours as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications
Maintain current electrician’s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations
4+ years of electrical experience
Possess the required personal tools
Knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes
Skilled at oral and written communication, planning, and training
Skilled problem solving and troubleshooting
The physical requirements for this role include:
Manual dexterity for use of hand and power tools
Good vision (either normal or corrected) and good balance
Repeated bending, stooping, reaching, working overhead
Walking, climbing, standing, crouching, crawling, for periods of time
Repeatedly lifting up to 50 pounds overhead
Work from heights of up to 50 ft, including on ladders, lifts, elevated platforms, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, or other safe work areas
Work as needed in tight spaces, including in manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, and attics
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
