Robert Half Assistant Director in Geneva, New York

Description We are on the lookout for a diligent Office Assistant to join our team in the education industry, specifically within a university setting, located in Geneva, New York. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity and involves managing various aspects of program management for a small private liberal arts college. The ideal candidate will bring a range of skills including event planning, evaluation processes, supervising, college recruiting, mentoring new hires, and organizing recruiting events.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct program management activities within a small private liberal arts college

• Plan and execute various events, ensuring they align with the university's goals and objectives

• Implement and monitor evaluation processes to assess the effectiveness of different programs

• Take charge of college recruiting initiatives, promoting the institution to potential students

• Supervise a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance

• Mentor new hires, facilitating their integration into the team and familiarizing them with their roles

• Organize and manage recruiting events, coordinating logistics and ensuring they run smoothly. Requirements • Prior experience in a university or educational setting is preferred

• Demonstrated ability to handle office tasks such as filing, generating reports, and setting up for meetings

• Experience in college recruiting and knowledge of evaluation processes

• Proven ability in event planning and organizing recruiting events

• Experience in mentoring new hires and supervising a team

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field is preferred.
