Director of Business Development (Remote)

The Director of Business Development is responsible for driving new logo sales by developing relationships with sales prospects in their assigned market vertical (commercial/retail/fin tech). The Director of Business Development travels to events and meetings associated with their assigned market vertical and communicates with clients/prospects with the intent of growing and nurturing those relationships. This position will partner with the Senior Director of Business Development to ensure the highest level of sales performance and service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Develop relevant relationships in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO)/Strategic Managed Services and Call Center markets, focusing heavily on contracts that can be created without solicitation or/RFx. Initiate and develop new-logo business development pursuits in the commercial/retail/fin tech sectors. Create a market vertical plan for each vertical assigned that identifies revenue opportunities, new markets, competitive threats, and relationship objectives. Carry out business development to qualify revenue opportunities. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, verify, and deliver revenue generating deals. Partner with internal SME (Subject Matter Expert) team members to close sales. Travel to corporate and customer locations in the assigned territory within and outside the US. Travel is estimated to be between 30-40%. Responsibilities may change and grow over time.

Education High school diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, marketing, or related field required. Equivalent work experience in similar positions may be substituted for educational requirements.

Experience Minimum five (5) years of experience in call center industry or related business process outsourcing (BPO)/managed services industry required. Prefer individuals with demonstrated success selling Business Process outsourcing/Strategic Managed Services and or Call Center services to B2B and B2C prospects. Demonstrated advanced knowledge of BPO sales and relationship management. Minimum five (5) years of direct field sales experience required AND 5+ years of experience in a revenue generating role with the expectation to drive a minimum of $5M in annual new logo revenue. Minimum five (5) years of experience in account strategy, account planning and relationship management. Must have existing and actionable relationships in the assigned market vertical. Must be able to forge relationships with key account stakeholders to shape opportunities. Must be a team player who can partner with Coast and its affiliate partners. Extensive knowledge in contract and procurement processes. Demonstrated knowledge of solutions that the assigned market vertical purchases. Proven experience developing opportunities. Proven experience in new market/new logo business development. Experience in self-managed work team environment. Experience managing annual budget for travel, conferences and expenses. Demonstrated history of success in sales Salesforce experience highly preferred. Minimum five (5) years of experience using Microsoft suite of office software and customer relationship management software (CRM) Experience using industry software for research preferred. Maintain accurate, professional, and active LinkedIn profile for the purpose of business networking and relationship building.

Position may require occasional weekend and evening work. This position requires travel by all available modes and includes frequent overnight travel.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $150,000, plus incentives
