Aerotek CNC Machinist in Gary, Indiana
CNC Machinist/Programmer:
Set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes to perform precision machining operations (Mazak preferred)
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
Select and install proper tooling, tool holders, fixtures, and other accessories according to specifications
Load materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment
Mazatrol conversational programming
CAD/CAM programming a plus
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
Make adjustments to speeds/feeds and offsets
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers
Troubleshoot issues with the machine or the machining process and make necessary adjustments or repairs
1st shift 7am-3:30pm plus OT
