Job Description

The Lead Carpenter is directly responsible for the efficient, cost effective operation of jobsites to create a great experience for clients. This includes directly communicating with clients and subcontractors; creating and maintaining records; managing the jobsite culture and setting an example of company values; performing a variety of advanced carpentry tasks; and training and managing crew members. Excellent organization skills and quick thinking makes the Lead Carpenter an invaluable member of the Client Services Team.

  • Maintain cleanliness of site, crew, andsubcontractors

  • Communicate effectively and positively with crew, subcontractors, andclients

  • Be courteous and mindful of the clientsproperty

Oversee daily tasks onjobsite

  • Coordinate with Construction Manager and Project Manager to planworkflow

  • Help to approveand followprojectschedule

  • Determine tools and materials needed eachday

  • Plan daily tasks for self and other carpenters

  • Ensure site is prepared for sub-contractors and assist themasneeded

  • Perform variety of rough and finish carpentry as projectrequires

Manage Jobsite Reporting

  • Control jobsite binder

  • Complete and track dailyreports

  • Ensure that all jobsite documents and plans are present and up todate

  • Communicate between clients, Construction Manager, and Project Manager

  • Maintain progressphotos

  • Keep record of materials, accidents,and/oranydamages

EnsureGeneral Jobsite Safety

  • Possess a thorough understanding of company safetyprotocols

  • Be well versed in action plans in the event of adisaster orinjury

  • Maintain a clean andorderlyjobsite

  • Hold other employees and subcontractors to the safetystandards

  • Regularly inspect toolsandequipmentfor proper and safe function
