Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As an industry leader in building products since 1933, we provide a comprehensive product line that includes high-performance waterproofing and moisture protection products, protective roofing underlayments, fully integrated liquid and sheet applied air/vapor barriers, sealants/primers and flashing systems, roof coatings mastics, spray polyurethane foam and coating systems for thermal protection applications, premium polyurethane products, block molded expanded polystyrene insulation, engineered products for HVAC applications, and premium rubber products for industrial and surfacing applications. This is a contract-to-hire placement with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production and plant equipment.
Handle piping tasks such as cutting, threading, and installations.
Troubleshoot, rebuild, repair, and replace various types of pumps including progressive cavity, diaphragm, and gear-driven pumps.
Maintain working knowledge of steam boilers and thermal oil heaters, their applications, and controls.
Manage industrial air compressors and pneumatic piping.
Utilize electrical, air-driven, and manual hand tools and equipment, including arc welders and acetylene torches.
Conduct pipe fitting and pipe welding tasks.
Troubleshoot equipment and processes to define problems and offer safe, cost-effective solutions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the work site and maintenance shop.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and develop new procedures as required.
Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists, as well as T3P Personal Risk Assessment Forms, Safety Task Planner, and Good Catch Form daily.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
Proficiency in both mechanical and electrical maintenance (50/50 split, no programming required).
Experience with piping, including cutting, threading, and installations.
Strong mechanical aptitude with skills in pipe fitting and pipe welding.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair pumps, boilers, motors, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
Capability to work with electrical systems up to 480 volts.
Ability to operate a forklift when necessary.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with preventive maintenance procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to create and implement effective solutions.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled, hot, industrial environment.

Work Environment
You will be working in a non-climate-controlled, hot, industrial environment. The position requires working 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays required. There will be lots of overtime once the ramp season starts in April.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.00/hr.
