Preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation will be essential for this Staff Accountant role. In this role, you will perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. What you get to do every single day
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation Requirements - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
experienced organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Proficient in ERP systems
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Proficiency in journal entries
General familiarity with Monthly Bank Reconciliation
Demonstrated knowledge of bank reconciliations
Adeptness in Posting Payments
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Foundational knowledge in Perform Ad Hoc Financial
Check Runs experience highly desired
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
