Job Summary
The Electrician A (Facilities & Equipment) will be acting under General Maintenance orders with minimum technical assistance repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical control circuits, single loop controllers, equipment sensors, Programmable Logic Controllers, and operator interface terminals.
Job Responsibilities
This position is focused on instruments and controls but must also be able to
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance to include repairs to equipment and appliances within an establishment using hand tools and testing instrument.
Inspects and tests electrical lighting, signal, and communication and power circuits.
Identify and correct defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment using testing instruments such as ammeter ohmmeter, and voltmeter.
Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes and armatures.
Mounts motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagram specifications.
Perform PM’s on electrical and electronic systems and equipment
Perform corrective maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment.
Job Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalent
4 years of Electrician experience
Fluent in English and able to demonstrate strong Reading and Writing operational proficiency
Able to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds assisted
US Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with industrial HVAC/Electrical applications and state codes.
Able to read, modify and create electrical schematics, to include working with 480V, 277V, 115V, and low voltage applications.
Experience in converting older machine controls to new PLC based systems
Experience with Ethernet based machine communication
Compensation Data
The compensation for this position is:
$22.37/hour - $40.62/hour
