Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for USACE for Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, Real Estate Division. Responsibilities Serve as the Real Estate Program Manager, responsible for all management, control, development, coordination and execution of the program. Manage and perform work involving project milestones and budgets. Allocate project funds to team members and monitor performance to assure commitments are being maintained for all projects within the program. Provide assistance to staff engaged in the preparation of reports, memoranda and other decision documents relative to the planning, development and execution of projects and program activities. Review the planning, coordination and development of real estate data and technical investigations related to existing and proposed studies and/or projects. Provide guidance to staff on updated real estate guidance, methodologies and regulations that impact projects and programs. Act as liaison between and among the local, state or other non-federal sponsors and the government for real estate matters. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) executing major realty projects in support of a realty program, AND 2) adhering to current regulations and policies in accordance with real estate principles and guidelines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
