Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg in Gainesville, GA. This person needs at least 1 year of bedside, acute care nursing experience. This person can work on a mixed neuro unit or a dedicated stoke unit, we are looking for RNs for both teams within this department.
The mixed neuro unit care is rendered to a variety of intermediate care neuro patients and standard acute neuro patients including but not limited to:
o Lower to high acuity ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients
o Patients post 25 hour from thrombolytic treatment
o Patients requiring continuous EEG monitoring
o Patients with other neurological disorders such as Guilian-Barre Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, and ALS
o Patients with hemodynamic instability needing antiarrhythmic
o Chest tube care and management
o Epidural / PCA management
o Tracheostomy care
There is also the opportunity to work in a dedicated stroke nursing unit. As a neuro IMC unit, care is rendered to a variety of intermediate care neuro patients including but not limited to:
o High acuity ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients
o Patients receiving IV thrombolytic for acute ischemic stroke
o Patients requiring continuous EEG monitoring
o Patients with other neurological disorders such as Guilian-Barre Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, and ALS
o Patients with hemodynamic instability needing antiarrhythmic and / or vasopressor medications
This person will need to demonstrate the following skills:
Delivery of safe, effective, efficient care that meets population specific guidelines
Actively works to make own and related teams successful, effectively communicates with patients, families and colleagues at all levels, shows consideration and respect or others and fosters customer service
Effectively prioritizes, recognizes problems, and utilizes evidence based practice
Demonstrates personal mastery, leadership of self and others, as appropriate, delegates appropriately, and supports NGHS shared governance model
Basic computer skills necessary to operate computer systems used on unit

Skills and Requirements
Qualifications for all roles:
RN License in the state of Georgia
Educational Requirements: ASN, BSN preferred
At least 1 year of RN experience null
