Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS (LPCs), LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKERS, and LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY COUNSILORS to provide counseling to patient’s in correctional facilities Northeast Georgia
Responsibilities:
Provides necessarycounseling as required for the patient.
Assess the patient’s psychosocial needs, and evaluate the progresswith supervisor.
Collaborates withalldisciplines to plan andevaluate team goals for eachpatient.
Focuses on assistingpatient through dischargeprocess of both inandout-patient treatment facilitiesas applicable.
Utilizesa varietyof therapy techniques and treatment plans.
Facilitates patient progress andreferrals with otheragencies
Adheresto Company policiesand procedures when providingservices to patients
Observesand reports patient progress.
Performs other dutiesas assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
MUST BE A GEORGIA LICENSED LPC, LCSW or LMFT (LMSWs will not be accepted at this time)
The Counselormay posses an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degreeor Masters in Psychology, Addictions,Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or some other Human Development major. They must have therequired licensing/certificationfor the specificposition if applicable.
Currenthealth certificate/physicalexam, as required by state regulations or client requirement specifications.
Current PPD orChest X-Ray (as applicable per state/client requirement)
Minimum of one year work experience, working with patients preferred.
Abilitytoeffectively elicit/provideinformation to and from appropriate individuals(including, butnot limitedto,supervisors, co-workers, clients)via strong communication skills;proficiency intheEnglish language may be required
Computerproficiency required
Must be at least 18 years of age
