LifeSouth Community Blood Centers Human Resources Administrative Assistant in Gainesville, Florida

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and organized individual to join the team as aHuman Resources Administrative AssistantinGainesville, FL. This position is responsible for providing clerical and administrative assistance to the Human Resources Department.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)

  • Answer multi-line phone and take messages.

  • File paperwork appropriately.

  • Ensure that all office supplies are in stock.

  • Maintain the department's office equipment (i.e. make sure printer has toner, fax machine and printer have proper maintenance, etc.).

  • Work closely with the District Administrative Services Coordinators, Safety and Risk Coordinator, and the Legal department.

  • Address employment verification requests in accordance with company policy.

  • Maintain and update employee driving information and status; and report.

  • Ensure that all regions have a suitable amount of orientation day supplies and materials; restock if necessary.

  • Create, maintain, and distribute employee ID badges, as needed.

  • Serve on HR committees and work to implement projects and ideas.

  • Prepare and organize reports as needed for quarterly meetings.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Basic computer skills and experience with computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

  • Excellent teamwork skills

  • Establish effective working relationships with coworkers and the public

  • Organize and manage time effectively

  • Maintain records in an organized fashion

  • Follow moderately complex oral and written instructions

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Work with confidential records and maintain confidentiality of these materials

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess - One year of working experience in an office environment

LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. We are committed to meeting the blood supply needs of hospitals and their patients by providing the highest quality blood components and services. With more than 45 donor centers, 55 bloodmobiles and 2,000 blood drives a month, our LifeSouth team is dedicated to making sure the blood is there when you or your family is in need.
