Stanley Black and Decker Material Handler in Fullerton, California

Position Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate, safe, and efficient movement of materials throughout the manufacturing and warehouse facilities. This includes receiving, storing, issuing, and staging materials to support production schedules and shipping requirements, while maintaining compliance with all internal procedures and aerospace industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and transport materials, components, and finished goods using pallet jacks, forklifts, and carts.

  • Perform incoming inspection and verification of materials against packing slips and purchase orders.

  • Label and store raw materials, components, and finished products in appropriate storage locations.

  • Pick, stage, and deliver materials to manufacturing work cells according to work orders or kanban requests.

  • Prepare products for outbound shipment, including boxing, labeling, and completing shipping documents.

  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions in the ERP system or inventory tracking software.

  • Conduct periodic cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory.

  • Ensure material handling areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including those specific to the aerospace industry (e.g., FOD prevention, ESD handling).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably in aerospace or precision machining.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and barcode scanning tools.

  • Forklift certification (or ability to be certified upon hire).

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical work, including standing and walking for extended periods.

  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality.

  • Knowledge of aerospace industry requirements such as traceability, lot control, and handling of sensitive components is a plus.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working in AS9100- or ISO 9001-certified environments.

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing or kanban systems.

  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, inventory systems).

  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills and a sense of urgency.
