Unifrax Accounting and Controlling Specialist in Fulda, Germany

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and financial reporting.

  • Prepare and analyze and consolidate financial statements and reports, annual report, and budgets to provide insights into business performance and trends.

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Perform Reconciliation and Cashflow and Asset analysis.

  • Support management decision-making by providing timely and accurate financial information and analysis.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial audits and (VAT) tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Controlling, Accounting or Finance

  • Proven experience in accounting and controlling roles, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements according to HGB. Experience with US GAAP is preferred.

  • Proficiency in accounting software with ERP systems (Navision and / or OneStream is preferred)

  • Excellent skills in MS Excel

  • Very good command of English

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
