Job Title: Receptionist

Salary: £18,033.75

Location: Garston Veterinary Group (Primarily based in Warminster and Westbury but travel to the other sites may be required)

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 30 hours per week across three days (see below for further details).

We have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join the fantastic team at Garston Veterinary Group, Somerset.

We are looking for someone to welcome clients and their pets to the practice in a warm, professional manner and provide support to our friendly team.

This is a busy, varied role so previous experience would be preferable but not required.

Roles and responsibilities include

• Welcoming clients and their pets in a warm, professional manner

• Managing the diary; booking in appointments and surgical procedures

• Answering a range of client questions via email and telephone

• Pro-active communication between clients and colleagues to ensure the day runs smoothly

• Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms etc

• Processing prescription requests

• Taking payments

• Promoting offers and services

• Ensuring that reception is clean and well-stocked

Shift patterns are variable but rota will be published 2 months in advance.

Typically, this will be 8am until 6.30pm or 8.30am until 7pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

1:4 Saturdays required.

Garston Veterinary Group is comprised of five practices across Somerset, each with an experienced team dedicated to the treatment of domestic pets.

We aim to provide the best quality of care, and we invest heavily in training, the latest equipment and modern facilities in order to do so.

We're ideally located, being within striking distance of Bath, Bristol and Salisbury, on the edge of the Mendip Hills and only an hour and a half from the south coast, there are excellent rail connections to London and easy access to Bristol airport.
