THE ROLE
The Sr Director, CSL – Fundraising plays a key role in CSL International’s advisory group. This individual leads all fundraising studies with a focus on higher education, national governing bodies, and museums and attractions. This individual leads a practice that examines fundraising capacity and capabilities for a client, as well as feasibility studies for fundraising initiatives. This individual will also serve as the primary liaison for CSL International with Legends Engagement + Philanthropy, and be included in Legends Engagement + Philanthropy discussions with clients and potential clients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serve as the CSL International lead in the fundraising and engagement space
Responsible for securing new business studies from higher education institutions, national governing bodies, and museums and attractions
Conduct analysis of client’s fundraising operation through data analysis and constituent interviews, including organizational leadership, key board members/volunteers, donors, and alumni
Partner with Legends Engagement + Philanthropy on pipeline development of philanthropic client base
Partner with analyst(s) conducting client studies to develop finding reports
Deliver the findings of the studies to clients
Cultivate relationship with clients that leads to additional services provided by Legends Engagement + Philanthropy
Act as a visionary partner in determining how CSL International sells the support of Legends Engagement + Philanthropy and its services
Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure CSL remains a market leader in providing the highest level of service and insights to clients
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
7+ years of relevant experience
4+ years of fundraising/engagement management experience
Experience in conducting studies for higher education institutions
Motivated by mission-oriented work
Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and team skills
Proven ability to balance complex and often competing priorities
Ability to thrive in an environment with high expectations for results
Proficiency in basic software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with CRM systems
