Located 30 miles north of downtown Dallas, Omni PGA Frisco Resort is the largest resort currently in development in the country. Opening spring 2023, the resort will feature 500 guest rooms and suites, 10 four-bedroom ranch houses, three pools, including an adults-only rooftop infinity pool, a destination spa, Lounge by Top Golf, and over 127,000-square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. An expansive retail and entertainment district will feature dining, shopping and an outdoor stage set to be activated for concerts and outdoor programming. The Resort will become a leading destination for golf providing an unparalleled experience for those who are advanced players, new to the game, and everything in between. The resort will offer 46 holes of golf designed by Beau Welling and Gil Hanse, including two 18-hole championship golf courses, a lighted 10-hole short course, and a lighted two-acre putting green.

Job Description

Omni PGA Frisco Resortis seeking a guest focused, approachable and friendlyBanquet Houseperson | PM Shift to join our team. The Omni Frisco PGA Resort provides north Texas with 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 new food and beverage outlets, an extravagant spa and a full entertainment district. Featuring two championship 18-hole golf courses along with a third short course, we will provide incredible options for our guests and local community for dining, events, and entertainment.

This team member will ensure our function rooms are set according to guest expectation and Omni Standards. Housepersons are responsible for set up, tear down, and clean all space associated with banquets and conventions.

Responsibilities

  • Clean function rooms prior to set-up.

  • Set up, stock, and maintain meeting rooms

  • Provide required amenities, as dictated by banquet department standards.

  • Refresh meeting rooms during and in-between meal and coffee breaks.

  • Break down meeting rooms as soon as possible after end of function.

  • Complete special projects as directed by department management.

  • Move convention material boxes, programs, etc. from hotel receiving docks, registration areas, sleeping rooms, or suites.

  • Care for banquet equipment.

  • Accommodate special customer needs, hanging banners for meetings and food/beverage functions.

  • Respond to last-minute requests, and communicate changes to appropriate departments.

  • Follow all details as described on Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s).

  • Fulfill assigned tasks to ensure that function rooms meet all requirements reflected on the daily worksheets are met.

  • Walls, baseboards, and light fixtures cleaned.

  • Room to be vacuumed thoroughly.

  • Drapes to be hung properly.

  • Lighting and temperature control to client's request.

  • Banquet equipment.

  • Tablecloths and skirting to be cleaned and pressed.

  • Uniformity among all set-ups in accordance.

  • Ensure that cleanliness and order of all storage and back of house areas to allow a productive, safe and energy conserving work environment.

  • Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, as well as all associate safety trainings.

  • Attend department meetings and other company required trainings.

  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years previous banquet experience in a high volume, upscale hotel required.

  • Must have exceptional guest service skills.

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Must have a strong attention to detail, be able to make quick decisions and possess good judgment

  • Ability to multitask and portray a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must consistently demonstrate a teamwork-oriented and positive attitude.

  • Must be able to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use hands and arms.

  • Must be able to push, pull, stoop, bend and lift items of significant weight, up to 50lbs minimum.
