Job Title: Lab Technician
Part Time Opportunity
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
5 pm to 10 pm
Open to adding more hours too. 15-25 hours per week.
Open to college students looking to gain lab experience.
Job Description
The main function of a lab technician is to support laboratory operations through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies. The typical lab technician is expected to use general lab methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with quality assurance programs and standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
Retrieve samples from Sample Control for analysis
Perform sample preparation including but not limited to: aliquot samples, spike and trace samples, prepare reagents, bottle samples, prepare concentrations, separation, sonication, liquid rack set up
Resolve discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled
Prepare general lab paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and lab logbooks
Wash lab glassware to prepare for next day’s samples
Stock lab supplies
Essential Skills

Basic ability to work independently and manage time
Basic knowledge of the information and techniques for lab testing
Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Degree within Science
0-2 years of experience required
Knowledge in Lab, Microbiology, Biology
Work Environment
The work environment involves general laboratory settings with the use of various lab equipment and instruments. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including washing glassware and stocking supplies. Standard lab attire and adherence to safety protocols are mandatory.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
