Description
Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Credit Manager to join our team in Fresno, California, within the banking industry. This role involves leading the credit and collections department, making strategic decisions to mitigate risk, and ensuring profitable loan structures. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, exceptional negotiation skills, and a thorough understanding of credit processes.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the credit and collections team, ensuring adherence to established policies and processes while offering guidance and support.
• Make final credit decisions for new loans, extensions, and contract amendments based on customer risk profiles and collateral quality.
• Oversee collections efforts, implementing strategies to minimize financial losses and mitigate organizational risk.
• Conduct meetings related to credit and collections, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Process loan agreements for contracts, notes, and leases issued by the organization, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Review and structure loan requests based on borrower credit risk profiles and collateral provided, ensuring a profitable margin for the organization.
• Develop and implement restructuring plans for high-risk customers to reduce company exposure.
• Analyze financial statements to identify borrowers, guarantors, and principals, ensuring proper loan and lease structuring.
• Accommodate occasional off-hours requests to meet business needs.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial credit.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to analyze cash flow and financial statements.
• Expertise in commercial credit and risk analysis within the banking industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook at an intermediate level.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach.
• Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions in high-pressure environments.
