ProMedica Health System Maintenance Technician - Plant Operations in Fremont, Ohio

The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of duties necessary to maintain all Hospital systems, facilities, utilities, and equipment. They will actively participate in the creation of an environment that fosters patient, family, physician, and staff satisfaction. They will also ensure decisions made are based on Family Centered Care philosophy.

Job Requirements:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and commercial experience preferred. Requires the ability to work independently with little supervision. Must have a valid OH driver's license and driving record that meets policy requirements.

  • Must be able to move about and between workstations

  • Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries: requires effective interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to input and retrieve information from a computer

  • Must be able to lift medium materials with occasionally having to lift objects in excess of 100 lbs, non-material handling of: continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching; frequent pushing, pulling and squatting. Occasional sitting, stairs and kneeling.

  • Refrigeration certification preferred

  • Must possess a minimum of three years general maintenance experience in a commercial setting, preferably a Healthcare environment
