We are seeking a Manufacturing Facilities Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, and the ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions in maintaining our facility and supporting our production operations.
This is a fulltime position working Monday through Friday and occasional nights and weekends. We offer competitive pay, health and dental insurance, paid company holidays, paid time off, and a 401K retirement plan.
Job Summary: The manufacturing Facilities Technician is primarily responsible for performing complex repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on all building systems within the facility, with a primary focus on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Responsibilities include basic preventative maintenance and repair, diagnosing and troubleshooting problems, reading and understanding schematics, and adherence to safety rules and practices.
Primary Responsibilities: Routinely inspect and perform maintenance on building systems and equipment, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Maintain plumbing fixtures, pipes, drains, HVAC units, electrical panels, lighting systems, and other facility equipment and identify potential issues before they become problems. Diagnose and repair faulty equipment and systems, utilizing diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to replace pats, make adjustments, and resolve malfunctions. Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as filter changes, cleaning coils, lubricating motors, and checking electrical connections. Diagnose and repair complex plumbing issues like leaks, clogged drains, faulty valves, and malfunctioning water heaters and systems. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system malfunctions to include temperature control issues, refrigerant leaks, faulty blower motors, and malfunctioning thermostats. Diagnose and repair electrical problems such as faulty wiring, blown fuses, malfunctioning circuit breakers and faulty lighting fixtures. Install plumbing fixtures, pipes, HVAC units, electrical components and lighting systems as necessary. Plan and execute facility upgrades or renovations related to plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems and other facility and building needs. Maintain records of maintenance activities, parts used, and inspection findings. Prepare reports on equipment performance, potential issues, and repairs needed. Adhere to safety regulations and procedures while performing maintenance tasks, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Ensure compliance with local building codes and industry standards related to plumbing, HVAC and electrical work.
Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, including principles of operation, troubleshooting techniques, and repair methods; ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions; skilled in the use of a variety of hand tools and power tools related to plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work; strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and results focused are required. Technical school certification and licensing is strongly desired.
