DYNMCDERMOTT PETROLEUM Manager Cavern Field Operations in FREEPORT, Texas

Supervise Site Cavern Engineers and Technical Specialists assigned to each of the four SPR sites, including scheduling and coordination of mechanical integrity tests (MIT), wireline operations, cavern sonar surveys. Ensure completion and delivery of daily and weekly reports for each site.

Serve as lead Trouble Shooter for Cavern Integrity Directorate across all SPR sites responsible for rapid response when issues arise such as well and wellhead failures, wireline tool issues, and for special projects like off-normal fluid transfers for cavern pressure control and wellhead repairs and modifications.

Participate in planning and analysis for the definition, scoping, planning, procurement, execution, and results of special projects. Coordinate engagement of Site Cavern Engineers/Technical Specialists. Lead special projects and provide field supervision, as appropriate.

Support workover rig operations, including casing inspection wireline and sonar surveys. Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of technical baseline drawings and data for wells and wellheads. Coordinate cavern pressure control and de-pipe/re-pipe with Site Operations and Maintenance personnel. Support drilling rig operations, as needed, with technical expertise and personnel engagement.

Serve as Lead Subcontract Managers Technical Representative (SMTR) for support subcontracts, including advisory services, as appropriate.

Ensure compliance with state regulations in Texas and Louisiana for casing and wellhead inspections, sonar surveys, MITs, and other applicable requirements.

Ensure that Work Authorization Directives (WAD) requirements and Performance Evaluation Management Plan (PEMP) targets are met.

** THIS POSITION CAN BE LOCATED AT ANY ONE OF OUR SITES IN TX or LA (BC, BM, BH OR WH) the successful candidate must live a commutable distance to one of the sites. Travel is required up to 50% of the time

Required: Degree in Engineering or Physical Science and ten years experience in storage cavern operations, oilfield drilling and production, well design and maintenance, or related activities. Some Management experience or management training is required. Strong communication skills. for continuous coordination with department managers and other personnel regarding schedule development and statusing. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Desired: Advanced Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Business Administration and more than 15 years relevant experience.

Certifications and Licenses: Professional Engineer or Geologist License in Louisiana and/or Texas preferred.
