Develop an Intelligent Wireline System {IWS) that integrates with components like wireline cables, surface systems, and tools to automate winch and tension control. This system enables operations such as running into the well, logging, and pulling out with minimal human intervention. Responsible for the development of the Intelligent Winch Controller (IWC) which uses various communication protocols, including CAN, Ethernet, OPC UA, JLAN, and GPIB, to interface with the winch, depth panel, and power and telemetry control systems. The winch control algorithm is implemented on the IWC's embedded hardware, which features an OMPA L-138 low-power floating-point DSP and ARM9 processor. He will be working in Electrical Design and Manufacturing Industry.Travel/relocate to various unanticipated worksite locations throughout the U.S. to interact with clients and train users for long- and short-term assignments.
