Job Title: CNC Operator
Job Description
We are seeking skilled CNC Operators for night shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading parts, running programs, checking parts with gauges and tools, performing grinding and surface finishing, changing tools, and making minor offsets and pickups at the machine controls.
Responsibilities
Operate machinery and equipment with minimal supervision.
Utilize mics and gauges to measure and ensure product quality.
Complete and maintain all records and logs.
Interrupt machine cycle as needed and restart.
Calibrate gauges to master gauges provided.
Reset dull or damaged cutters.
Communicate problems to shift supervisor.
Maintain housekeeping standards.
Meet quality and production requirements.
Provide feedback on process, work instructions, and quality performance/concerns.
Perform all miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Two years of recent CNC operator experience (Mill or Lathe CNC machine).
Experience utilizing quality tools such as gauges, mics, and calipers.
Experience in a manufacturing environment producing heavy parts.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with hand tools, mills, lathes, and inspections.

Work Environment
The building has dim lighting and is not too loud. The machines are newer, but the parts being machined are large. The facility was thoroughly cleaned in January. The dress code requires oil-resistant or steel-toe shoes, no cutoffs, hats worn forward, and no loose clothing. The work schedule includes a 1/2-hour unpaid lunch break and a 20-minute paid break. Currently, the hours are 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM for the 3rd shift, with a 50-hour workweek.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fraser, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
