Rolling Hills Hospital is looking to add a dynamic Expressive Therapist to our talented team of Therapists. The Expressive Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing activity services for patients on all in-patient units, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction and role modeling to patients under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services. The Expressive Therapist demonstrates knowledge in one or more program disciplines such as art, recreation, and/or music therapy. The Expressive Therapist must be comfortable providing therapeutic programming to a wide variety of patients throughout the facility from adolescents to older adults.

Position Schedule: Monday - Friday, 12:30pm - 9:00pm

  Qualifications

  Education/Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in activity therapy, music, art of related field is required.

  Licensure/Certification:

• Certificaiton by state and/or national governing body in one of the following areas preferred: Certified Recreational Therapy Specialist (CRTS), Music Therapist Registered (MTR), or Art Therpaist Registered (ATR).

• Successful completion of CPR certification and Handle With Care (HWC) Certification

  Experience: Three (3) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness, preferred.
