Engineering Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Engineering Project Manager to oversee engineering projects from conception to completion. This role involves managing product development support, product lifecycle management, technical content generation, and change management.
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate engineering projects from conception to completion.
In conjunction with the engineering manager, manage large and diverse technical and non-technical teams.
Establish, define, and assist with the determination of project requirements.
Lead project planning sessions and create engineering management plans.
Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation.
Write and publish procedural documentation for project management and governance.
Conduct project overview, iteration retrospective, or lessons learned sessions.
Manage requirements gathering sessions and appropriate documentation between internal and external stakeholders.
Evaluate and adjust the efficiency and effectiveness of project activities based on results.
Manage project documentation from project conception to completion.
Essential Skills
BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
7+ years of experience managing multimillion-dollar projects from conception to completion within the product/R&D side of the business.
Experience setting up Project Management processes.
Strong experience with Product Lifecycle Management within manufacturing/product environments.
Knowledge of manufacturing, production processes, quality control, systems engineering, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective production performance.
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Skilled in prioritization and multi-tasking.
A strong understanding of marketing concepts with an emphasis on effectively managing and implementing product lifecycle management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
PMP certification highly preferable but not required.
Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
Work Environment
Office environment. Some travel may be needed on occasion. Hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
