Job Description
Join a global leading supplier of magnet wire as a Lab Technician on the 3rd shift. You will be part of the magnet wire testing laboratory, where your role involves ensuring quality standards through various tests and analyses. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the high quality of magnet wire used in electrical machinery.
Responsibilities
Complete quality tests of magnet wire for quality specifications, investigation, design proposals, R&D, improvement, and performance.
Conduct testing on QA and experimental runs, action requests, and sample orders.
Assist in preparing magnet wire enamels, thinners, and lubricants.
Inspect and analyze raw materials and chemical products to ensure adherence to specifications.
Perform complex tests requiring meticulous attention to detail.
Read and understand detailed instructions, perform testing, enter data, present data, and prepare reports or charts to report test results.
Utilize chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments.
Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and management to analyze, solve, and correct problems.
Engage in quality management systems using computer programs and quality systems tools.
Follow all procedures, methods, and guidelines to ensure quality, safety, and production goals are met.
Record data for company reports.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to exchange information while maintaining positive working relationships.
Essential Skills
Experience in a quality (QA or QC) lab role.
Knowledge of quality control, chemistry, inspection, quality assurance.
Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and performing quality inspections.
Experience with wet chemistry and titration.
High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred.
1+ years of GMP experience.
1+ years of experience within quality and quality control lab tech roles.
1+ years of experience with basic laboratory techniques.
Ability to work a 3rd shift, 12-hour schedule.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of computers.
Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO/QS/TS).
High attention to detail and organization.
Above-average mechanical skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment
This position operates on a 3rd shift schedule (8 PM - 8 AM) with a 2-2-3 rotation and every other weekend. Initial training occurs on 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM. The work environment is a climate-controlled quality laboratory, offering a cohesive team experience with one-on-one training. The facility is brand new and part of a growing expansion project. The role includes the opportunity for growth and development within multiple plants across the state.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.65 - $21.65/hr.
