Carrington Bankruptcy Supervisor in Frankfort, Kentucky

The Bankruptcy Supervisor will be responsible for supervising one or more of the bankruptcy processes within the Bankruptcy Department. Responsible for the overall employee performance of assigned team as well as the quality and efficiency of the assigned processes. Conducts all activities in adherence to all applicable investor timelines and in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target salary for this position is $70,000-$75,000 + Annual Bonus.
What you'll do:
• Carries out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws, including hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
• Develop Team Leads to begin and continue to strengthen their soft-skills related to Problem-Solving, Communication, Leadership, Collaboration, Influence, Judgement and Job-Specific Skills.
• Ensure Policy and Procedures/Job Aids & Desk Guides are up to date and accurate.
• Own response(s) to Quality Control audit findings and implementing controls to prevent future findings from recurring.
• Partner with peers to resolve gaps in interrelated processes.
• Ensure associates receive proper training to effectively and efficiently perform their job duties.
• Responsible for conducting interviews and providing recommendations to hire to Sr. department leaders.
• Monitor and measure individual performance within the team(s) and provide feedback at minimum twice per month with the associate.
• Handle escalated bankruptcy cases and work with attorney firms on litigated matters. Escalate all recommendations to Sr. leaders within Bankruptcy department if warranted.
• Conduct regular team meetings and huddles to maintain communication across the bankruptcy department. Provide Agenda prior to meeting and distribute a high level summary of topics discussed during the huddle.
• Recommend individual Goals/Targets to Sr. leadership. As mentioned in 8th bullet point above meet to discuss associates (performance, quality, judgement, problem-solving skills, and teamwork).
• Identify process gaps within the bankruptcy processes and identify and implement solutions. At minimal escalate items of concern to Sr. leaders to determine if warrants additional resources or expands to a project initiative.
• Function as the subject matter expert when responding to internal and external audits with investors
• Signing authority to sign bankruptcy documents on behalf of the company
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
What you'll need:
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Five plus years’ experience in a bankruptcy role in the banking, finance or mortgage industry.
• Three or more years in a lead or supervisory role in bankruptcy.
