Description:
As a Regional Division Construction Manager at Perini Management Services, reporting SVP of Operations , you will have the opportunity to:
Manage, plan, and direct all federal contracts for the Eastern Division of the US and the Caribbean under the direction of the Division Senior Vice-President.
Hire, manage, and direct day-to-day activities of division staff in line with established company policies, practices, and procedures to optimize personnel productivity and growth.
Effectively manage overall planning and implementation of all regional contracts/projects. Assume full responsibility for the timely execution and profitability of the work including procurement, subcontracting administration, scheduling, and closeout.
Directly assist in establishing long- and short-term planning objectives for the region including the provision of appropriate staff, resources, and direction required to fulfill operational and business development goals.
Initiate, maintain, and develop Owner, architect, and subcontractor partner relationships to meet specific project and business development objectives.
Assist in determining target regional project acquisition and develop strategies, partnerships, and associated planning to facilitate project capture. Collaborate with and support the estimating department in the development of resources and pursuit of project opportunities within the Region
Represent the company in regional industry functions, client development, site visits and marketing programming.
REQUIREMENTS:
10-15 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager or Construction Manager with a major US Construction firm. Advanced knowledge of the construction industry, and extensive experience in managing large construction projects (50-100MM). Federal projects preferred.
4-year engineering or architecture degree or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred.
Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance and growth.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex or multiple construction projects and/or design-build projects resulting in completion of contracts within time and cost limits.
Superior oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, decision-making ability, strong management and leadership skills
Travel is required
