What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist internal team with the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of auto, general liability, and workers’ compensation claims.

  • Support senior staff in day-to-day administrative duties such as obtaining wages, processing department mail, handling certificates of insurance, answering phone calls, monitoring LOA reports, responding to subpoenas and other requests etc.

  • Manage the shared claims inboxes for general liability and workers’ compensation claims by monitoring all emails received and responding to all requests for information.

  • Process invoices and settlements.

  • Collaborate with senior team members, claimants, associates, and attorneys to investigate and mitigate losses.

  • Participate and attend Risk department meetings as requested and collaborate with Safety and Legal on claims matters as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:

  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflows and meet deadlines

  • Initiative-taking and once trained, able to work with little direction

  • Microsoft Office suite

  • Effective communication and organizational skills

  • Willingness to pursue a professional insurance designation

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management or Business or equivalent work experience

  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team in a hybrid work environment 3 days in the office, and 2 days remote

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in customer service/insurance industry experience

  • Experience working in a Risk Management System (RMIS) or claim system

  • Prior customer service experience
