Description: We are Lockheed Martin

You will be the Systems Engineer for the System Integration Lab (SIL) team. Our team is responsible for integration and test capabilities and functions in a laboratory environment.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Systems Engineer you will utilize requirements to assist in the development of test requirements and procedures, execute integration and test activities in a lab environment and evaluate functionality for the SIL team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, Installing, and managing SIL COTs server/workstation equipment

• Manage, design and integrate hardware equipment for the Systems Integration Labs (SIL)

• Updating and maintaining Lab(s) inventory

• Managing and maintaining SIL networks

• Lead and establish Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL)/Closed-Loop development and testing in the Systems Integration Lab (SIL)

• Management of the interface with software developers and systems engineers in support of verification activities

• Manage product integration, regression, and verification testing including checkout in system test labs.

• Participate in technical exchange meetings, interface with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables.

• Manage integrating hardware from sub-system teams, interface with other elements, and the system and segment level teams

• Apply the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications

• Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements

• Status reporting and tracking of major SIL activities

• Lab related metrics collection

• Manage SIL capital hardware procurement and facility mods

• Track SIL 3rd party software licenses

• Some travel required

The selected candidate must be willing to work flexible hours in order to support the program.

You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or related field, or equivalent experience/combined education

• Experience with Avionics Systems Integration and Test or Laboratory development and buildup

Desired Skills:

• CompTIA Security+, Network+, or A+ certification

• Strong technical understanding of architecture, design and security principles

• Avionics and SIL experience/background, Mission Planning and I&T experience / background, experience with requirements development and integration and test processes, strong laboratory skills, flight test experience

• Experience with Sub-System Integration, working in a System Integration Lab and troubleshooting system integration anomalies

• Experience in computing systems (Processing, Network, Storage, Display technologies)

• Experience modifying and maintaining system test procedures

• Proficiency in cable fabrication, installation and troubleshooting (BNC, ENET, RF, Fiber Optic,data).

• Experience with the deployment and configuration management of hardware components

• Experience in LabView

• Experience with RF design and troubleshooting

• Demonstrable experience working on complex and fast-paced program

• Strong and proven effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)

• Analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems requiring ingenuity and innovation

• Proven effective leadership and teaming skills

• Must be willing to mentor junior-level team members

• Experience with DevSecOps tools such as Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Jenkins, Git, GitLab, Dockers

• Experience with Linux and MS Windows Server environments

• Demonstrated experience utilizing Agile frameworks for project lifecycle and/or understanding of Agile development concepts

• Demonstrated knowledge of test automation and continuous integration and deployment

• Experience interacting with customer and vendors and presenting at requirements and design reviews

• Experience with documentation and technical writing to maintain system configurations and network diagrams

• Modeling and simulation to establish feasibility and performance

• Individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
