Summary This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the PHYSICAL SECURITY BRANCH WCF. As a Security Specialist, you will exercise expert knowledge and professional skills related to all aspects of the WCF security program to include Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection, Intelligence, physical security, Personal Identity Verification (PIV) and HSPD-12 programs, product accountability, internal controls, and investigations. Responsibilities The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Provide guidance and assistance to the overall agency security program. Manage the agency's Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Compliance program. Develop policies, procedures, priorities, program plans and milestones, that are in agreement with the Division, Department, Office and Bureau's master and strategic plans, and establish budget and resource allocations requests and presents them for approval. Coordinate the purchase and oversee the installation of security equipment, systems, and services. Manage the Branch's security equipment and assets accountability program, consisting of an integrated management and control of assigned items and materials use in the construction, maintenance, operation, and testing of the Integrated Security System and its subsystems. Qualifications You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-9, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: -Applying risk assessment methods, threat assessment principles and physical security practices in order to make recommendations, plan, evaluate and develop physical security program components for the protection of resources and assets. AND - Experience with security policies, procedures, priorities and program plans. OR You may qualify with a Master's or equivalent graduate degree. OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR You may qualify by a combination of experience and education.
