Description: What You Will Be Doing
As a Lead Quality Engineer in the F-35 Quality & Mission Success organization, you will lead a team of quality engineers to support F-35 EMAS in achieving quality excellence. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Providing guidance to the quality engineering team and oversight of quality processes in the F-35 production system
• Offering technical expertise in quality sciences, root cause analysis, corrective & preventative action, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement
• Collaborating with peer quality teams and manufacturing build areas to eliminate quality defects and escapes throughout the F-35 production value stream
• Developing junior engineers through teaching quality engineering & quality science techniques and through intentional task assignment
• Driving a culture of continuous improvement across internal quality processes and within F-35 EMAS
• Developing strategies and systems designed to improve internal performance and productivity
• Ensuring F-35 EMAS is compliant to the quality management system and applicable industry standards, such as AS9100

You are a considered a subject matter expert with experience in quality science. You have a deep understanding of quality engineering and F-35 Production Operations. You bring:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a business or STEM discipline, or combined education/experience.
• Experience in quality control, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, and/or Production Operations
• Experience in corrective action and preventative action
• Demonstrated leadership experience, either in a formal supervisory role or through informal leadership such as project ownership, mentoring, or team coordination.
Desired Skills:
• Master's degree in a business or STEM discipline
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Continuous improvement certification (Six Sigma Green Belt, Shainin Red X, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Knowledgeable of LM Aero Corrective Action processes and systems
• Technical knowledge of F-35 and its manufacturing processes
• Graduate of a Lockheed Martin development program (i.e. QTLD, OLDP, ELDP)
• Team lead or management experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
